FEE SCHEDULE
Our standard psychology session is 50 minutes, whether you're coming in for counseling or assessment services. The Australian Psychological Society suggests a fee of $300 for a 45-60 minute session. At Difference Psychology, a session with a registered psychologist is $200.
Your GP may have mentioned 10 Medicare sessions, but it's important to note that these sessions aren’t entirely free—they’re subsidised. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan, Medicare covers part of the cost, and you pay the rest. You will pay $200 on the day of your service with Medicare covering $96.65, your out-of-pocket cost will be $103.35. The rebate is generally paid into your account within 24 hours.
Your referral and Mental Health Care Plan can be submitted via email to info@southwestwellness.com.au or ask your GP to fax it to 02 9182 5930.
CANCELLATION POLICY
We appreciate 24-hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Providing notice in advance when you are unable to attend your appointment, gives us the opportunity to offer your appointment time to another client from your psychologist's wait list. This allows us to deliver a fair and consistent quality of service to all our clients.
- Please call us on (02) 4647 1134, 7:30am – 8:00pm Monday and Friday and 7.30am - 2.30pm Saturday.
- A cancellation fee of $50 may be applied if you do not provide at least 24 hours notice before your appointment.
- If your appointment is on a Monday, please contact us on Saturday as our office is closed on Sundays.
- Outside of hours please leave a voice message with your name, your psychologist’s name, and the date and time of your appointment.
Please note: We do not accept cancellations via email, text message or by contacting your psychologist directly. All cancellations must come via reception.
SMS reminders: SMS reminders are sent 48 hours prior to appointments. The reminders are a courtesy only and are not to be relied upon. We encourage you to take note of your appointment date and time when booking.
